The Anatomy of a Summer Wardrobe

While summer style is on my mind for Sseko Designs #10ways10days Challenge, I thought it’d be fun to share what I’m living in this summer. Basically, this is the anatomy of my summer uniform!

Anatomy of a summer wardrobe

A Favorite Tee or Breathable Shirt

Gray shirt, black shirt, white shirt, repeat. Add a colorful scarf, white pants, and there’s my summer uniform. My go-to tees are the Everlane Cotton V-Neck and Pact’s Featherweight V-Neck tee.

White Pants

They go with everything! Since I wear a lot of black, the white helps brighten my look to feel more like summer. The Elisa Skinny by ABLE (pictured above) has been incredibly comfortable, just stretchy enough to make activity easier, and resistant to all the baby food that gets thrown my way.

Comfortable & Versatile Sandals

Y’all know I live in my favorite sandals and have surely read my post about my favorite ethical brands. It bears repeating: The Sseko Crossover in gold and the Nisolo Ecuador Huarache Sandal in almond are the beeeeeeessstt.

Because both of these are high quality sandals, I’ve worn them over and over. Long walks with the baby, galavanting across Italy, trips to Boston & Nashville: the comfort, reliability, & versatility have me gushing & crushing on them.

Linen Anything or Everything

If you could wear an adorable outfit that feels like pajamas with a light, airy textile and feel ‘put together’, why wouldn’t you do that everyday? That’s my thought, exactly! Whether it’s a shirt, pants, jumpsuit, or dress, linen is my current fabric of choice for it’s breathability & downright comfort.

Do I have other items in my summer capsule? Oh yes! I highlighted some of my favorites because I’m currently crushing on these pieces and wearing and re-wearing them over and over! Most of my summer pieces for my capsule wardrobe carried over from spring, and you can see those looks by checking out the Spring 10x10 Challenge.
